It is believed that college time is the most beautiful time in life and having success creates this beautiful time.In my opinion, there are two main factors that make a successful student life.

     Firstly, to have a successful student life, students should study seriously.  This means we should spend as much time as possible for studying so that we can get much knowledge as we can. we need to always do the homework enough and prepare carefully for every new lesson. This will certainly help us easily understand and remember the lessons, get the best result or even get scholarship. Moreover, the methods we use are very important, too. Using the right way, study smarter not harder helps students be successful a lot. To save the time, we should study right away in class time, take notes important things to remember easier. We need to manage the time to balance between studies and relax effectively. Students should join some interesting clubs where we can both study and relax such as: English club, soft skill club, making friends club…As we can see, studying is a very important duty for every student in college time to have a successful student life.

Another reason that makes a successful student life is creates unforgettable memories by willingly dedicate for society by doing social work. Because most of students are all full of energy young people so that we should help people by what we have. And remember giving is receiving. We can also learn a lot from doing social work. We can learn to be more confident and active; especially we know how to sympathize with people needed help. There are plenty of helpful activities for students such as: help the poor, take care of the old, visit disable children….Doing social work is a good way to get successful student life.

Topic: why do I prefer to work for a foreign company?

    I am learning English so that I am very interested in working for a foreign company. Usually people may think that I like to work for a foreign because of the high salaries. However, this is only partly true to me. For me, besides the salaries, there are several reasons why I prefer to work for a foreign company.

    Firstly, working for a foreign company is a really good opportunity for me to put in practice what I have learned after graduation. If I work for a foreign company, I certainly can use the best of my major. Because most of foreign companies are equipped with modern office machines so that I can have lots of chances to work and catch up with the latest technology. Moreover, I believe that working for a foreign company is a good occasion to improve my English. Because I work in a foreign company, all of my colleges probably are foreigners so that I can speak English every day in my office with my colleges or with my boss.

      Secondly, it is very possible for me to be sent abroad for further training or working abroad if I work in a foreign company. And  I really love living in a new country, experiencing a new environment and learning about new culture in foreign countries.

    There are some reasons that I prefer to work for a foreign company. I wish that someday I could be able to find a good job in a foreign company after my graduation.

Topic: My two little sisters

I live in a large family. My parents have 5 growing up children, 2 sons and 3 girls and I have 2 two younger sisters. I really love my family, especially my two little sisters, one is an 18 active girl named Hang and another one is a 16 sweet girl names Huyen. My life has become more fun and meaningful because I have them. They are also my two best friends. When I look at them, they seem like absolutely different but when I look again, they have so much things in common.

     There are many reasons why they have something in common. Firstly, they are as beautiful as flowers. They both have high bridged noses and a beautiful smile on the faces. When they smile, they remind me of Song Hye Kyo, a beautiful Korean actress. In addition, my two little sisters are also crazily sports fans and they play sports really well, too.  They never miss any “sports 24h program” on TV every day. And they both love all kinds of sports; they love soccer, basket ball, volley ball and tennis, etc. besides, they always eagerly play sports every afternoon in our house’s front yard. My little sisters sometimes drive me crazy because of their passion about sports.

      Despite their similarities, somehow my two little sisters are very different. First, Hang the elder one, is a fun and creative girl. Sometimes I call her “a crazy gentleman”. She loves telling jokes to make me laugh whenever I feel bored. She is an outlandish girl who loves laughing and talking. Her sense of humor makes my home be full of laughter. In contrast, Huyen, the youngest girl in my family is a very sensitive one. It is not too difficult to make her cry. Her face always gets red when someone teases her. And she always cries embarrassedly when she watches a romantic sense on TV and it becomes her strong special weapon. Looking her chasing a ball on the field with Hang, sometimes I cannot believe she is that sensitive. Moreover, while Hang is very good at math, Huyen is very excellent with literature. Looks like that they are different girls when I look at them this way.

     Even though my two lovely sisters have some different personalities and skills, I love them both the ways they are. Now that I live far from home, I wish that I  could  spend more time to be with them.

         Topic: Should parents smack children?

      In our modern society nowadays, for many married couples, how to raise a good child is one of many biggest concerns so that choosing a suitable method is very important. There is a proverb saying that “spare the rod, spoil a child” which has been used as a teaching way in many families. Unfortunately, some parents who do not understand exactly this proverb have created bad causes in raising child. However, using corporal punishment is also considered to be an effective way to educate children for many parents who did raise all well behaved children. For me, besides lots of different methods, I do believe that corporal punishment, which does not always mean to beat a child violently but is a way to scare a child for doing something wrong, is a necessary method to raise children in lots of cases, too.

        First of all, corporal punishment can help parents teach children quickly and effectively when their child misbehavior. As we all know, almost children cannot know exactly what the right thing to do is. They tend to do what their little mind think is right so that it is very easy for them to have mistakes. In many cases, instead of giving a little child a long explanation, corporal punishment can be used as a quickly way to correct him. For example, would a mom give a long reprimand for a nonstop crying son in the supermarket trying to get a new expensive car toy which he has lots at home? Or could a dad be patiently enough to get his little daughter to take pills which is absolutely not delicious? Is there any better choice than using corporal punishment? In those cases, picking up a small ruler or holding a little bit loud serious voice is really necessary to correct the child quickly. In addition, parents can prevent their child from doing bad things effectively by using corporal punishment, too. When a child be beaten for doing sth wrong, their body creates an automatically mechanism so that whenever they want to do sth wrong again but remember the last time being beaten, they would never dare to think about it again. For example, a little 8 year old girl really hates taking pill when she is sick. She will try everything to avoid doing that, such as crying, hiding or even getting rid of the pills. But she will immediately take the pills obediently just when she sees her dad picking up a ruler. Moreover, corporal punishment can also be effectively used when children is out of control. For contrast, what would parents do when 2 little boys crazily teasing each other with dirty water all the afternoon? Is there any harmful for them to be given half dozen quick little pats on the hands, and then stand in the corner confessing? I think that the answers would be absolutely no. As we can see that, corporal punishment not only makes our child be better behaved but also helps protect our child’s heath, too.

        Secondly, corporal punishment can also make children respect and honor parents more. For a lot of good children, being beaten helps them realize their mistakes, give up doing bad things and be thankful their parents for doing that. I personally was beaten a lot when I was young for fighting with boys, going out without permission or even stealing thing from friends but deep down in the bottom of my heart, there is not any resentment towards my parents but really appreciating. I could not imagine how bad I am now if my parents had not beaten me in those days for misbehavior. It even makes me honor and respect them more for doing so. However, some parents who ignore using corporal punishment say that it makes children be fearful and damage the relationship between parents and child. It was clearly wrong. Have they ever considered that children should always be afraid and respect parents? What will a family look like when children dishonor and cheek parents even when they are misbehavior? The fact that today there are more and more bad behaved children in school because their parents never hurt them for being misbehavior at home. That is the reason why many people say that today more parents are afraid of their child than their child are afraid of them. And this is one of many causes for not using corporal punishment appropriately. Besides, most parents are reasonable and fear so that for the child’s sake, they would never want to hurt their child unreasonablely because it hurts their feeling, too. I also want to mention that how great my parents were when they held me crying after beating me. It even makes parents love their child more when they use corporal punishment.

      There are several reasons why corporal punishment is also very necessary in raising a child. It could make your child be better in behavior with people and make your family be happier if we know how to use it wisely. However, parents should spend more time studying this method to get the best result in raising child from it.

Topic: People say that watching TV is harmful

     Months ago, my TV was broken .It took me nearly 3 weeks to get it repaired. I cannot remember how many times I turned on the TV forgetting that it was broken. I still remember how uneasy I was during these 3 weeks. Because of this, I could not watch my favorite entertaining programs. Even worse, I missed all of learning programs that I really love. It just drove me crazy without a TV. And then I realize how important it is to me, watching TV makes my life be more comfortable and meaningful.

     First of all, watching TV is an extremely good way to relax. There are a lot of interesting programs on TV that we can watch after long hours hardworking such as: news, films, fashion show, music show... watching TV helps us refresh our mind, forget all about the busy life and feel relaxed .For example, instead of going to the concert which is filled of a lot of people and noise, we can still enjoy it on the TV comfortable at home without going anywhere. Moreover, there are lots of different channels on TV so that it is not easy to get bored with the same programs. Watching TV brings us another fascinating world that makes our life be more fun and less stressed.

     Secondly, we can learn a lot by watching TV, too. Through all those programs, we can get all the information about our world without spending a lot of money to go to those places directly. For example, if we want to know about the progress of the war happening between the USA and Iraq, we can have all the information through the “news” on TV every day without taking any flight to go there. In addition, for me, watching TV enriches my knowledge day by day. For example, learning English from TV is also an effective way. There are various learning English programs on TV for children; especially my favorite program is “Barney and small friends”. I can listen to Barney and lots of small lovely children, all native speakers talking, singing and dancing. It is really a fun program with all the outstanding imagination and music. My English is improving very fast thanks to this program on TV. So watching TV not only brings me more fun but also brings me more knowledge. However, many people say that watching TV takes too much time away from family life. There are more and more young adult prefer to spend hours and hours watching TV than spending more time with family activities such as: talking, doing housework, cooking…This may be true in some families but it is not exactly true that watching TV takes a way family time. In fact, watching TV also can make family members be closer to each other. For example, is there anything be more fun than all family members watching a film and laughing together.

     Even though some people sat that, we cannot deny the fact that watching TV is very important in life. Besides entertaining, watching TV can also give us a lot of information about the world and enrich our knowledge day by day. So to get the best from watching TV, everybody should manage the time watching TV suitably.
